Mrs. Idania L. Gonzalez

Welcome!

My name is Mrs. Idania Gonzalez.  I am happy to have the privilege of working at OHS as a Spanish teacher.

Currently, I teach Spanish levels I and II in grades 9 - 12.

Education and Professional Background

I grew up in Sabinas Hidalgo.  It is a small city in Nuevo Leon, Mexico.  There, I earned Bachelor's Degrees in Elementary Education and Special Education.

After moving to the United States, I first earned a Spanish Education Associates Degree from SSCC.  Next, I graduated from JSU with a Bachelor's Degree in Secondary Education/P-12 Spanish.  Later, I earned a Master's Degree in School Counseling from UWA.

Educational Philosophy

I believe that every child can learn and reach their full potential if they have a caring adult who provides them with the necessary love, teaching, guidance, and boundaries that every child needs in their life.

I look forward to working together with you as partners in your child's educational journey.
