I have been teaching English Language Arts (ELA) for twenty-two years.  I graduated from Susan Moore High School in 1997, from Jacksonville State University with a BS in Secondary Education ELA in 2001, and from The University of Alabama with an MA in Secondary Education Language Arts in 2004.  I obtained certification in Instructional Leadership from the University of West Alabama in 2022.  In addition, I hold the following certifications: National Board ELA Adolescence and Young Adulthood, Advanced Placement English Literature and Composition, and Advanced Placement English Language and Composition.  I have taught all grade levels 6-12, and I taught English full time for four years at Jacksonville State University.  Currently, I serve as an Alabama NBCT Network Ambassador for Region 2.  I enjoy reading and attending my daughter's golf tournaments.  I am excited to be teaching ELA 10 and AP Lang at OHS.  We are going to have a great year.  GO REDSKINS!
