Thank you for visiting my webpage. Let me tell you a little bit about myself. I was born and raised in Oneonta and am a 1994 graduate of OHS. I continued my education at Auburn University, where I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education in 1998. I have taught kindergarten, first grade and am currently teaching second grade (my favorite)! 

     I am married to Mathew Watson and we have a daughter, Carolyn, who attends OHS. My hobbies include exercising, baking and reading. As a family, we love to travel and enjoy returning to Auburn in the fall for football games, War Eagle!

     Second grade is a fun year full of learning. The most important thing you can do with your child is to read with them. It would be ideal if your child could read for 20 minutes every night! Second graders are becoming independent readers, but it is still important to listen to others read as well. I encourage you to choose a chapter book and take turns reading a chapter each night. 

The best way to communicate with me is by messaging me in Class Dojo. This way, your message doesn't get mixed in with emails and I know right away it is a parent trying to connect! Unless an immediate response is needed, any messages received after 5:00pm will be answered the next school day.
