Oneonta City Schools is proud to be able to offer free BREAKFAST and LUNCH to all students for the 2024-2025 school year. Due to participation in this program our lunchroom will require a few minor changes. Please be aware of the following guidelines:
- Students must get a FULL meal to be considered free.
- “Extras” like chips, cookies, flavored water, and extra servings of food will require students to pay cash or have money in their lunch account. Students will not be allowed to charge extras.
- Please encourage our students to participate in our breakfast and lunch programs. The more reimbursable meals we serve the more likely we are to be able to continue this program.
- If you would like to add money to your child’s account for “extras” please check out the following link for setting up an online account. The link/app looks a little different from last year. Use the link below to access your account.

Collection of Race and Ethnicity Data for School Meal Programs
School meal programs are required to collect and report data on race and ethnicity of all applicants and participants.
(1) The purpose for collecting race and ethnicity data is to determine how effectively School Meal Programs are reaching potentially eligible students
(2) Provision of this data is voluntary
(3) Responses are kept confidential
(4) Responses have no effect on eligibility

In accordance with Federal civil rights law and U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) civil rights regulations and policies, the USDA, its Agencies, offices, and employees, and institutions participating in or administering USDA programs are prohibited from discriminating based on race, color, national origin, religion, sex, disability, age, marital status, family/parental status, income derived from a public assistance program, political beliefs, or reprisal or retaliation for prior civil rights activity, in any program or activity conducted or funded by USDA (not all bases apply to all programs). Remedies and complaint filing deadlines vary by program or incident..
Persons with disabilities who require alternative means of communication for program information (e.g., Braille, large print, audiotape, American Sign Language, etc.) should contact the State or local Agency that administers the program or contact USDA through the Telecommunications Relay Service at 711 (voice and TTY). Additionally, program information may be made available in languages other than English.
To file a program discrimination complaint, complete the USDA Program Discrimination Complaint Form, AD-3027 , found online at How to File a Program Discrimination Complaint and at any USDA office or write a letter addressed to USDA and provide in the letter all of the information requested in the form.
